The Makays in Barnstaple is brilliant, the staff are friendly without going over the top.

I always make Makays my first stop when out clothes shopping. The clothes are of excellent quality and not to pricey.

They have a great range for Adults, and their children's section is just as good.

Whether you want something for a special occasion or just want cheering up, you will always find something just right for you.

The shop itself is light and airy, you do not feel hemmed (sorry about the pun) in and they have don't have pushy sales assistants, one of my pet hates. The Clothes are arranged sensibly and they seem to have got the knack of putting the clothes that go together near each other. A plus if you are in a hurry.

At Sale time the bargains you can get are fantastic, in particular I got a gorgeous dress for a fraction of the original price. It was definately my bargain of the week, now I just have to convince my husband to take me out somewhere special so I can wear it!!

They also do a Plus Range. The clothes are fashionable and not at all frumpy, also you are not charged an extortionate price just because you are not stick thin.

This shop is a must for all who like me want great service and good clothes at a price I can afford.
