MakroNewest Review: ... I would have to come back in a couple of days when the offer actually started. Annoying but such is life. I don't want to end on a negative note. I usually find the staff are very helpful and after sales has always been good to. There can be queues in the shop but they usually open other checkouts when they get to big, they always have enormous car parks and I have never been stuck for a space. I like going to Makro it's always worth a look to see what deals they have on, and if they have none there's always the penny sweets. I have also posted this review on ciao under the name of trevn74... more |

Makro is really a shop for small traders, the traditional corner shops, caterers, hotels or news agents. At least this seems to have been what it's set up for but I think over the years they have realized how many people come in with the Makro card that aren't in any of the above mentioned trades. The Makro card I mentioned is what you need to get in. Without it they won't let you in although they may give you a trade pass for the day. The way to get a Makro card is you have to apply for it through a business with a note on headed paper and preferably from a manager. I got one through the business I am in. If I'm honest though I never use it for business and I usually ... Read the complete review

Makro is pretty handy for a million and one things and I like to go there once a month or so to make the best of the deals on offer. It's a warehouse stockists for businesses, so you have to be registered as a business or as an employee of a business to use it and get a membership card. etc. In order to join you need to go with some evidence of your business, a letter head, a business card, an invoice, I had to take two items to evidence it, the cheque book and a letterhead, in my case. You'll also need to provide an address for the card/s to be registered to and for the Makro mail to be dispatched to. Makro mail is a thin promotional mag which shows you ... Read the complete review

---<Getting In>---- Makro has a cardholders only policy, this is easily overcome if you manage to borrow one from a relative/friend as they don't have photographs of the cardholder on them, just remember to have someone of the same sex presenting the card from the person you managed to get it from!, alongside the cardholder, two other people are also allowed inside. ----<Goods>---- I bought a new Samsung 42 inch LCD TV (as advertised by J.Terry&Co.), Philips DVD home surround cinema package and a stand that was TV mountable, last month from Makro for a grand total of 820 pounds, I was over the moon, my sister had bought a ... Makro - bloody good deals at bloody good prices - you could well get very into this sort of thing... Last weekend I paid my first visit to Makro and was suitably impressed. We went with our next door neighbours who have a customer card (which you need in order to shop there, but of course me and Mrs D were just watching what they bought...) and spent the whole of Saturday afternoon there. Now, to set the scene you need to understand that I'm the most reluctant shopper in the world, refusing to buy new shoes until the soles are dropping off the old one, going to work with threadbare cuffs on my sleeves, starving myself to death because I ... Makro is a wholesale store which only members can enter. It sells products such as food and drink (designed for the catering industry) in bulk and also sells loads of other products such as clothing, music, video and games, Electrical appliances jewelry and loads more! When I first went to this store and few years ago, I didn’t like the look of it. The place looked rather dull to me but after I saw the prices, It grew on me very quickly! The place has prices at a good price and currently you can pick up Music CD albums there for a Bargain price. What Makro does, it have their prices excluding VAT (17.5%) the VAT gets added to the bill at the ... Read the complete review
