APPALLING Returns Policy (Maplin)

Disadvantages: attitude on returning faulty goods has a lot to be desired

being a similar customer to ''Paul - who wrote in on 07.11.07 '' and with a string of varying purchases.i was quite happy with my local store , the staff knew my face and i knew theirs..
I bought an me1 media centre and 320gb Hdd to fit inside Feb 08.
Took back to store on 13/4/08 after it had failed losing all my recordings
. I called the returns centre on the 26th april and was told they hadn't recieved the items till the 22nd!.
I called again 6th may and was told they were faulty but a ''final decision'' had to be made! told me to call back 12th may to find out more!! making it a month since i sent them back.
Regarding the dusk till dawn lamp.. this was bought early april and found to be faulty a week later when i fitted it. i went back with the reciept and lamp to be told the they don't refund for lightbulbs.and that it was longer than 14 days anyway??
This is NOT mentioned in the returns policy in the catalogue as far as i can see . Therefore i feel cheated and for all the reasons stated will not be shopping there again if i can help it.

Summary: now my last resort shop :-(
