Advantages: Quality food, some good offers Disadvantages: Expensive
As a student, I can't actually afford to shop here at all, but it's nice to dream. Everything about the places screams quality, the packaging is attractive and informative and even the adverts are mouth watering. I tend to buy a few lunches here when I'm at work, since they have an excellent 'Food to go' range, which isn't too expensive. Sandwiches range from about £1.50-£4, which is not too bad and comparable to places like Pret (though you could get something cheaper at Greggs or Boots), drinks are about £1 and a cake or pastry ranges between 40p-£1 (I'm not particularly healthy when I buy lunch here, but they do have plenty of fruit and salads as well). I also enjoy the sushi, though I find the portions a little small. There is also a large selection of ready meals, and many are reasonable prices and perhaps slightly cheaper than a takeaway. An Italian pasta dish will set you back about £2.20 and is really filling, and it's easy to see how many calories you're eating, which you can't really do in your local takeaway. Summary: I'll know I've reached success when I can afford to shop here. |
