Advantages: Good quality

Disadvantages: Maybe a bit pricey for some items.

I suppose I should start by saying I love Marks and Spencers. I worked there as a teenager, Saturday jobs are so useful. At the end of the day staff could buy food cheaply that was close to or at sell by date. I used to arrive home with all sorts, my mother thought it was great. I wonder if they still do that?

Some of my favourites are:
Butter Mints - crisp on the outside with a lovely chew centre. I absolutely love these.
Chicken Provencale - a real favourite of mine and if I pop into my local store and they are out of stock I feel really cheated.
Tarte aux Pomme (hope the spellings right) the best ever.
Raspberry Royale - so much better than a trifle, raspberries in jelly with a sponge in there as well and cream on the top.

Are they expensive? Well a little but some of the food is competitively priced and you do know the quality is excellent so I think it is worth a little extra.

One of my favourite things is to go in at New Year and buy the seasonal left overs at very low prices. I put little treats on one side for my grandsons and they love it too.

Unfortunately our local food store closed last month so I have to go out of town to the big branch now which is a real shame. Worth the trip in my opinion.

Summary: I love it and have to go in if I'm passing
