As the category indicates this review will focus on my opinion of the food and products available in Marks and Spencer Foodhalls. I have already added a couple of reviews on the site regarding my opinions on the supermarkets I frequently shop at. Budget constraints determine where I shop at in general, however if my budget would ... Read the complete review

Marks and Spencers food, for want of a better word, is yummy! However, it is quite expensive and for most people I don't think its plausible to be able to do your weekly shop there - as much as we'd all like to! I however do pop in there every other week to pick up a few bits and pieces to complement the main shop in the likes of Tescos or ... Read the complete review

M&S Food used to be restricted to the M&S Foodhalls at the back of the stores but recently they have begun to open up more and more of their M&S Food stores with one recently opened near my flat. The food on offer in M&S Food ranges from the simple to the exotic and includes a variety of ready meals (gastro pub, indian, ... Read the complete review

Marks and Spencers has always been known for their excellent quality and having shopped there recently, I can safely say, it's still there! Unlike other supermarkets, all of Marks and Spencers food is of a premium quality and the price reflects this, but you really do get what you pay for in this instance. Most of M+S's meal's are ... M&S certainly have a reputation for having the best food around. And for the prices they charge I should think so. Most of the food in M&S seems to be prepackaged and usually just needs popped in the oven or microwave. They do sell fresh veg, fruit, meat etc but the ready meals do kind of dominate the aisles. I use ... Read the complete review

For me Marks & Spencers has always been the place to pick up a few special little extras. It always has a very varied selection of food that is generally of a very high quality. However, with higher quality there invariably comes higher cost which makes it impossible (for me) to do a complete weekly shop here. ~History~ I'll ... Read the complete review

I have always thought that the people who make a habit of doing their regular food shop at Marks and Spencers are either millionaires or just people who are stuck up and in debt! Until recently I have never experienced the food hall apart from the wonderful smells as I walk through the shop. We had friends coming over for tea and they have ... Read the complete review

You may have your own opinion about Marks and Spencer in general, with some people still perceiving it to be a tad old fashioned and unimaginative. However, the same cannot be said about Marks and Spencer's food department. The reason I buy Marks and Spencers food is because of the taste and quality. I often pop into Marks ... Marks and Spencers Foodhall is one of my favourites to visit, the stores are well organised with clear signage and they are not too big, which means your not going around in circles looking for items. I personally even just enjoy browsing around the store. The products offered in Marks and Spencers are typically own branded products, ... Read the complete review

M&S Simply Food provides, as its name suggests, a choice of food, apart from some newspapers and magazines, household goods and fresh flowers. What the shop delivers best is carefully prepared quality food, the best fresh fruit and salads on the high street and better than average ready-meals. There's a bread section and other commodities like ... Read the complete review

Marks and Spencer used to be the top notch of the department stores. Their undies were the height of fashion, and well made to boot. The problem is that today's Marks and Sparks has lost the edge it used to have. There are all manner of other (cheaper) stores all over the place, and unfortunately, we don't seem to want to pay for quality ... Read the complete review

I only went into Marks and Spencers food hall because I had £50 gift vouchers. I had always thought M&S is for older people or those with lots of excess money to spend. I am neither of these things but was genuinely suprised at the prices. I found that many of the items were on par with or only slightly more than ASDA on price. A few ... Read the complete review

In most of the larger Marks and Spencers stores you will find a food hall, which is like a smallish supermarket. Recently I have also seen Marks and Spencers food stores popping up at service or petrol stations, and there is one of these near me which I use quite often. These food halls sell most things, including basics such as milk, ... Read the complete review

I suppose I should start by saying I love Marks and Spencers. I worked there as a teenager, Saturday jobs are so useful. At the end of the day staff could buy food cheaply that was close to or at sell by date. I used to arrive home with all sorts, my mother thought it was great. I wonder if they still do that? Marks and Spencers food is poor sub standard quality at sky high rate prices!! their sandwiches are absolutely foul and disgusting to say the least! cold hard lettuce and tomato, slimy cheese and hard bread! How dare marks and spencers label there food as fresh and quality. Fresh means the food is made at the time of request by the customer. E.g ... Read the complete review

In my old job (which I just quit this week!), I used to get Marks and Spencer vouchers quite alot as prizes in various incentives. Marks and Spencers have the nicest range of foods out of all of the supermarkets I shop at, which include Sainsburys, Tescos Morrisons and Waitrose but they are also one of the most expensive.
