A supermarket for the rich (Marks & Spencer)
Member Name: shuttlex
Advantages: Delicious sandwiches Disadvantages: Expensive, no reduced items Following on from my previous review on Tesco, M&S can be categorized in the upper end of the market. While the cheap and cheerful supermarkets use bright colours, Marks & Spencer uses a dark green logo to give the image of a slightly more expensive taste. Most of the food within M&S while fairly expensive can be said to be of reasonably good quality. Unlike Sainsburys or Tesco, I have rarely bought anything from M&S that I have found inedible. The main items I shop for are sandwiches. Previously all the sandwiches stocked at M&S were in the region of £3+, the equivalent of 6 dooyoo reviews, a bit expensive for those on minimum wage. However, lately a reduced range of cheaper sandwiches have been introduced onto the shelves. There's a cheese sandwich for £1 and a ham sandwich for £1.30 making the good value for money. One major criticism I have for M&S is, they never sell food at reduced price. Summary: The also have sandwiches for £1.30 & £1 |
