Advantages: Great prices and great quality

Disadvantages: Store is far away from my house

I don't shop at Matalan very often but a couple of weeks ago a went for a look around. I used to shop there ages ago but recently I haven't bothered as it takes me about 45 minutes to get there on 2 buses.

Anyhow I really like Matalan. I think there products are cheap but at the same time good quality, which is something you don't find very often nowadays. The products sold at Matalan are mainly high fashion items but also the have basics like cheap plain t-shirts and jogging bottoms.

Aswell as Clothes, shoes, bags and acessories Matalan also sell Home acessories, furnature, bedding dvd's and toys also as much more All these items share the same cheapness as the clothes. For example £6 for a quilt.

The clothes on sale at Matalan are pretty cheap. Here is a basic guide to prices-

T-shirts-£5
Jeans- £12
Skirts- £12
Dresses- £14
Heels- £12
Bags- £6
Jewellery- £4
Coats- £20


As you can see the prices are cheap for good quality products.
I wouldn't describe Matalan as a chavvy shop or anything like that. There are products to suit every type of person. They sell skinny jeans to pink dresses.

There are 2 designers at Matalan. These are-
Rodges and Rodgers
Et Vous

Even though they are designer clothes they are still cheap :)
Matalan's own range is called Papaya.

For example this is my shopping list from the other week.
I got-
A pair of checked shorts- £4
A black cardigan- £10
A checked Top- £4
So only £18 for 3 items that would cost about £50 at Topshop.

So if you haven't been before track down your local store and take a visit.
