Matalan - Fantastic priced items especially during 75% off sales (Matalan)

Advantages: Good range of homeware, clothes for all throughout the year at low prices

Disadvantages: Can get really busy and some isles can be a squeeze with a trolley

I love going to this shop although it is about 40 minutes away from me.

Before you shop here you do have to use a store member card which is easy to join and open to everyone. You can also get a day card which helps if you loose your card or forget to bring it with you like i have done in the past.

This shop has clothes for children, men and women, footwear, homeware like bedding, kitchen items and bathroom items and suitcases. They also sell a few toys and books, handbags and other accessories. At christmas time they have a good selection of trees, decorations, cards and other bits.

I have found that this store generally has a good layout but with a trolley or pram/pushchair it can be a squeeze sometimes especially in the clothing departments.

Their prices are fantastically low especially on childrens clothing and homeware. They do have lots of sales on especially after christmas and this is one of the the places that i love to go shopping to in the sales as they have vast amounts of stock reduced up to 75% which is unbeatable. Last year when i shopped here in the sales i come out with bags and bags of clothes, christmas decorations and homeware which were all reduced. I mean childrens shoes down to £1. Well can't beat that anywhere you go.

At christmas time you get really pretty decorations, rolls of wrapping paper and cards at low prices and even better prices in the sales.

Their range is really good especially in the womens sizes as they have larger womens clothes available too. Which i am quite big and have found this to be helpful when buying clothes as normally you have to go somewhere like evans and i have always found this embarrassing.

There are lots of staff around to help if you need it and they are always polite and friendly. The store itself is generally clean and tidy. They do have lots of checkouts and even during sale times although the ques look really long they always go down quickly as they open up all checkouts.

I would recommend this shop to go to all year round for clothing and homeware, but totally recommend during sale times.

Summary: I love this shop especially during sale times, but generally great value all year round
