Christmas getting ever nearer is as good an excuse as any for me to spend more time wandering around Matalan spending money I don't really have. Matalan has been one of my favourite stores for a long, long time now, the main reason for this is the amount of different items they stock but I also love the spacious store that is my local Matalan.

Our Matalan is in an industrial estate with only two other stores and it is a massive and very spacious store with loads to browse through. Matalan stock everything from underwear to books to home ware and all at very competitive prices.

I recently bought a dinner set that had been reduced three times and had made its way from its original price of £49.99 down to a mere £19.99, on the same day I picked up some socks for hubby, a set of hard board books for my youngest grandchild and huge pack of 100 Christmas cards so as you see they do a wide variety of items.

I have only ever been in two Matalan stores, my local one and one in Edinburgh and they are both very similar and the service in both was very good as I am sure it will be over all their stores.

So if you want to have a good look round a good store, receive friendly help when needed and grab a bargain or two then you can't go far wrong with Matalan!
