Hi writing a review of my local Matalan store in Bury St Edmunds. This is a huge store offering a full range of of Mens and Womens clothes, underwear and shoes. There is a full kitchenware section, jewellery, and some soft furnishings.

The overall layout of the store is good but a bit cramped due to the amount of stock squeezed in but hey it makes for good value with most stock being better than reasonably priced.

You have to have a Matalan card to shop here. It is an easy process to get one with your first purchase your details will be taken and you will be presented your Matalan card there and then.

Only problem is despite plenty of well mannered staff and check outs it does get busy here at weekends and other peak times with quite long queues building up. Would definatelyrecommend visiting on a weekday rather than the weekend where possible. It is open late weekday evenings i believe until 8pm.

Apart from offers in store it is always worth checking your receipt as you may have an offer for say £5 off when you spend £15 on jeans in a certain time period usually 2 weeks. These offers are simply printed on the bottom of your receipt and you present this when you wish to redeem the offer.

I have found Matalan to offer a large range of very good value and competitively priced goods with a constantly updated range in clothing and other new stock ranges released regularly. A great shop to browse or buy.
