Matalan love it or hate it. (Matalan)

Advantages: Nice modern stores great staff.

Matalan- is it trying to be too modern?

I do like Matalan and I have to be fair, I am a size 8 and the clothes they have in my size are not that modern. The shop near me has just had a huge re-fit and it does look more modern, the staff are helpful and even thought there is always a huge queue they have enough tills to deal with it.

One question I do have is why do you have to have a card? I don't get it. The only thing I go in there for is suntan cream and shoes- I do love their shoes. They didn't ask for my name or address when I became a member so why do I need a card.

My mum swears by matalan and so do some of my friend but is it just me that doesn't like their clothes and boy has it got expensive! £12 for a white shirt? Are you having a laugh were in the middle of a credit crunch.

The men's clothes are good quality and reasonable price I can never find cheap men's clothes even when the sales start. My husband kits himself out in matalan every time we go on holiday.

I do only look around the clothes and shoe isles due to the fact I don't think I would pay their prices for the home wears or children's products.

I do admit the clothes wash really well unlike other cheaper retailers that I will not name (primark). Keep going matalan, just try and lower your prices to match your competitors.

Summary: Great stores need to sort out their pricing.
