Advantages: Cheap fashion items to die for.
Disadvantages: Are none
I have been to McArthur Glen about 5 times now. Every time I go, I can't help but thinking just how cheap everything is there. There are so many fashion names there that I was just spoilt for choice. It is just one of these place that you can't go there and come back empty handed. You just have to buy something. The car park is very large and parking never seems to cause that much of a problem. There is always somebody there willing to help you out and they all seem to know what they are talking about. Everything is priced up well and I have had no problems at the checkouts with there being the wrong barcode on anything. I am particularly impressed with the clothes. There are so many designer labels here and for next to nothing. Some people say that all the clothes are seconds but I have to disagree. I find the quality of the clothes to be excellent and I have not had one problem with any of the items that I have bought at McArthur Glen. (yet) They sell so many different items from suitcases to bbq's. From children’s toys to waistcoats. One of the things that really stands out is the fact that it is not just a place for adults, it is a place for all members of the family. There are toys shops, sweet shops and many other things to keep the children happy for the day. There is an excellent food canteen there too. They sell things like, fish and chips, stir-fry and for the healthy person jacket potatoes. The store is set out very well with lots of space, so that you don't have to tread on peoples feet. So if you haven't been to MrArthur Glen I suggest that you do. Go on, make a day of it. They have a great canteen!!!!!!

- 12/02/01 Didn't inspire me to want to visit. The Swindon one is good. |

- 25/01/01 I've been to the one in Swindon loads of times, and I think the only bit worth its salt is the 'home' section. I reckon the shops are full of all the tat that the retailers can't sell on the high street. But the food bit is good - especially Harry Ramsdens. |
