Meadowhall - shop til you drop! (Meadowhall)
Member Name: fionamcg
Advantages: Easily accessible, all the high street stores and plenty of entertainment Disadvantages: So popular at seasonal periods, especially Boxing Day, it can be Meadowhell
Meadowhall is a great shopping experience, and although its not as big as the Trafford Centre in Manchester or Blue Water in Kent, Meadowhall still attracts 400,000 visitors a week. The centre has had a bit of a revamp in the last couple of years with several shops closing due to the recession and huge new stores like Primark and All Saints and a bigger and better Next, Topshop and New Look. Due to its location, Meadowhall was also the victim of the 2007 floods which brought Sheffield to a standstill and caused the shopping centre to be closed for several days. Many shops lost a great deal of stock and some of the lower ground had to be refurbished, but it seems as though nothing can defeat it, as it still going strong winning awards year after year. Summary: Get everything you need under just one roof!! |
