Advantages: Easily accessible, all the high street stores and plenty of entertainment

Disadvantages: So popular at seasonal periods, especially Boxing Day, it can be Meadowhell

Meadowhall is a great shopping experience, and although its not as big as the Trafford Centre in Manchester or Blue Water in Kent, Meadowhall still attracts 400,000 visitors a week. The centre has had a bit of a revamp in the last couple of years with several shops closing due to the recession and huge new stores like Primark and All Saints and a bigger and better Next, Topshop and New Look. Due to its location, Meadowhall was also the victim of the 2007 floods which brought Sheffield to a standstill and caused the shopping centre to be closed for several days. Many shops lost a great deal of stock and some of the lower ground had to be refurbished, but it seems as though nothing can defeat it, as it still going strong winning awards year after year.

Meadowhall has all the popular high street stores, a Vue cinema with 11 screens and a large 'Oasis' with plenty of fast food chains like Pizza Hut and McDonalds and other restaurants from Frankie and Bennys to La Tasca and Zizzis to choose from. The shopping centre has wide, clean pathways and a very simple layout - although some of the paths look the same! There are frequent customer service booths to ask for assistance should you get lost, or need any other help!

Meadowhall is very easy to get to as it right on the M1 at junction 34. If you live in the surrounding towns then a bus, train or tram will get you to the door. One of the benefits of Meadowhall is the opening times as you can nip there straight after work for a couple of hours of retail therapy:
Mon - Fri 10am - 9m
Sat - 9am - 7pm
Sun 11am - 5pm
