Advantages: Loads of Shops & Resataurants. A cinema. Ample Free Parking. Good Public Transport links

Disadvantages: Loads of people! Loads of Bags! Loads of Traffic!

Meadowhall is an indoor shopping centre which is in the City of Sheffield in the North of England. It is found three miles north east of the city centre & is also and two miles from Rotherham town centre. Junction 34 of the M1 motorway is where most people from out of the area will find it. It is also easily accessed by Bus, Tram or Rail & has it's own transport interchange.

The centre was opened in September 1990. The centre has a floor area of 1,500,000 sq ft, which on opening made it the second largest mall in the UK (although it is now further down the list). The centre contains over 280 stores, along with a food court, restaurants & a cinema complex.

The complex was flooded in 2007 along with a lot of the rest of South Yorkshire. Some shops were tradin again inside a week however the complex was reopened properly in October 2007.

Personally, i don't mind shopping here. There is virtually anything you want covered by at least a couple of shops. With the exception off food from a Supermarket you would really struggle to not be able to buy something that you want. On the Downside, the centre gets very busy. Especially so on weekends, near Christmas & in the January sales. This has resulted in some local people referring to it as "MeadowHell". I would definitely recommend shopping here. I know that I will again sooner or later, but it is on my doorstep. I don't know if I would travel a large distance to visit here.

Summary: A really good shopping centre. With all the plus's & minus's that result.
