Disadvantages: exceptionally poor customer service
We purchased an extensive fitted bedroom - two rooms really - in early Jan 2007 and arranged fitting for mid m
March 07. The day before delivery we were telephoned to say there were a few parts missing but that delivery would be made separately whilst the fitter was working. Delivery duly noted that 3 doors to wardrobes and three drawers from chests were missing.
An excellent fitter arrived and made a super job but when he finally got through to central support they said it would be another month befoire the missing parts were in the country and available for delivery.
Now this doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as some people's tale on this site but when you have had to remove two peoples clothes from existing wardrobes and drawers, try and find places around the house like spare rooms - which quickly fill up - to store clothes so the place is a tip, then its pretty unnerving. To then be told by MFI customer services that as we have most of our paid for furniture and we can use part of it ok so they considered that they would go ahead and start the job knowing full well they couldn't complete it is in my view criminal, uncareing and wholly taking the piss out of the customer.
