Advantages: cheap, good range of furniture, design kitchens
Disadvantages: furniture tends to be unstable, have to wait for it to be delivered, can be very complex to build
MFI is known nationally and has branches it almost every town across the uk. They offer a excellent range of furniture from kitchens to a childs bedroom range. They can design your kitchen for us to maximise the space that you have, and the kitchens are easily modified to suit the buyers needs. The kitchens are priced resonably, and they offer a good range of styles from modern to the more tradiotional. MFI also sells ovens, hobs, sinks, dishwashers, etc and often they will have a deal on. They can also arrange to fit your kitchen. The bedroom furniture is very wide ranging as they cover all the possible age groups so you are bound to find something to suit. They also sell beds and cabin beds for children. They also have a ok selection of office furniture but this tends to be expensive for what it is. They have a limited range of dining room and lounge furniture but the ranges are normally expensive. Furniture from MFI tends to be complex to build as normally there are parts missing or the instructions do not make any sense. As long as the furniture is not moved very often it will last for a while though once it gets moved a few times it becomes very unstable. When building the furniture it is best to buy more wood glue and glue everything to minimise the risk of the furniture falling apart. Staff can be over eager and tend to pounce as soon as you walk through the door. MFI used to have the furniture in the store so that you could take it home with you. Now, however, they have a selection of small items like this but the majority has to be ordered and delivered which can be up to three months away. So check the delivery before you buy.
