Advantages: reasonable price
Disadvantages: poor delivery
We saw a Kitchen we really liked in our local MFI so ordered it - silvery doors with nice beech worktops. We paid them the money (over £1200) and we were told the delivery date. The night before the delivery we got a phone call saying that they had run out (!) of the worktop I had ordered over 2 months before! The whole kitchen would be delivered except the worktop but they promised they would be delivered 2 weeks later. When I eventually got to speak to a supervisor I was offered a refund of 10% of my total bill. I was livid, 2 weeks with no worktops, another day off work and arranging the plumber, electrician and joiner to come back. Needless to say I argued the point and ended up with a £65 refund. That was 1 year ago. Over the last 6 months my cupboard doors have been cracking under the coating and when I visited MFI I noticed that they had replaced the door on their display. I spoke to the salesman who confirmed I had bought the kitchen 1 year ago and that they had found faults with the doors however if I didn't have my receipt I could not get the doors replace. After ransacking the house I eventually found it (its the big long one listing everything you bought) and got them to order up new doors, took a day off my work and guess what all the doors weren't delivered. When I phoned customer services they arranged a Saturday delivery for me the following week. After saying in all Saturday no doors, and when I phoned back I was told that they were being sent by ParcelForce! Anyway I now have all the new doors on however their delivery services leave a lot to be desired!
