Disadvantages: Why are we waiting?!!

Now...when you've just moved into a flat and you have no furniture, your first thought(okay not first, but its there somewhere) is MFI! That traditionally British Sunday hang out with cheap(ish) furntiture for throught the home!.

So with this in mind, I tootled off to my local store (STOCKPORT)looking for wardrobes and drawers etc and a sofa bed.

Having walked around an almost empty store, I chose a set of (fake) pine wardrobes, dressing table and chest of drawers, all of which were a bargain in the MFI Sale.
And a reduced v. trendy sofa bed.

When I finally found a salesman (they were noticeable by their absence)and asked him to help, he told me I'd made a very informed choice and took me over to the sales desk to buy them. It was then he dropped the bombshell.....'These are on a 3 week delay I'm afraid' 'What everything?' I asked 'Oh yes, in fact almost everything in the store is actually'. Why don't they tell you that in the store or outside the store so that you don't waste time picking and choosing?!!

Anyway, I agreed to pay for things and wiat for them to be delivered. BAD IDEA!

I am due to receive everything this Saturday (29th July)but had a phone call yesterday saying that the sofa bed is delayed for another week....oh...and that the cushions for it are delayed until the week after. Having paid nearly a month ago for these goods you can imagine how annoying it is to be put off again!

If I could handle the hassle, I'd cancel the whole order, but that would probably be delayed too!!!
