MFI - Where's the assistants? (MFI)

Disadvantages: No assistants - whatsoever

Our 'local' MFI is in Wakefield and we used to buy quite a lot from them a few years ago (don't spread it around), we always seemed to be able to assemble the goods and we were reasonably happy, knowing full well what we were getting - Average self assembly furniture.

Having been recently to look around, because we are moving house shortly and are going to need some new stuff, (particularly beds and new loung furniture) we were very disappointed how the store has gone downhill.

The one in Wakefield is very dingy - you know - sort of dark. Maybe the flourescents needed changing? The furniture was so so .... and exactly like it was 5 years ago! Mind you we did find 2 childrens beds; an over office bed for the teen and a cabin bed with drawers under that we would have been evry interested in .... if only we could have found an assistant.

The prices of the goods were not well marked. (We didn't know whether the price of the cabin bed included the drawers underneath, and the loft bed was right next to another model with a cardboard price written right in the middle - which model did it pertain to?) Anyway we literally walked round for 8 - 10 minutes and we could find not ONE staff to ask about the products.

If their shop is like this then what is the furniture and delivery like? We decided to give it a miss.
