Advantages: Lots to look at

Disadvantages: Nothing to be taken home within reasonable time scale

I wonder if MFI, or anyone that really makes a difference reads these opinions. I recently visited the NEW MFI store in Milton Keynes. They have moved from a "large" store, to another "large" store right next door!!! My immediate thought was that now they had a *slightly* larger store maybe they would keep items in stock.

No such luck mate!

Hubby and I visited to buy a computer desk and chair. Found what we wanted, no problem. Had the cash, no problem. They didn't have the furniture though and told us we could have it in 8 - 10 weeks. What??? My new computer would be old news by then.

So, off to a nearby furniture store, flat pack in car, and home in 20 mins.

Prices were very similar, helpfulness pretty similar (although I must add that MFI do tend to fall down in that department too) but the delivery time - cut from 10 weeks to closer to 10 minutes. I ask you!!!

Yeah they might have lovely showrooms and spacious settings, but what they don't have is furniture to provide to customers.

Ever wondered why the stores look so spacious - could it be the distinct lack of customers????
