Me and my mum both purchased bathroom suites with MFI this year. With mine, there was a manufacturers fault with the waste pipe of the bath and a few months after it was installed, the waste pipe came loose, spilling water all over the bathroom floor, into the kitchen, I was electrocuted, the kitchen was destroyed and I am awaiting insurance coming through. I am also still awaiting a refund cheque, 5 months later!, for goods which we were sold that we did not need.
My mum's shower was never sealed by the MFI fitter and the first time it was used, the water gushed from the shower, to the floor, through the NEW floor, into her kitchen, damaging her books, TV and radio. She has been avoided like the plague and MFI will not take responsibility.
AVOID MFI! I will never use them again.

I have had ongoing problems with MFI, I have a small bathroom that needed to be fully refitted. We paid in excess of £4,600 for what is not actually very much. My advice to all is go to the Furniture Ombudsman. They will mediate on your behalf. I have had the same experience as almost everyone else. Bought an MFI kitchen. MFI like to S**T on you from a great height!
Paid in cash up front 6k for a black space kitchen, when the fitter measured up he added on another 1k of units for infills!! took months due to cupboards missin from delivery and damages done by MFI fitter - treated really badly by all staff we tried to get to help us - overflow pipe on sink not fitted flooded cupboards and expanded MDF bases! was told he fitted it correctly not his problem!. Sat and cried in store after 3 weeks of having delivery dates changed and things not arriving - no one cared - 2 small kids no kitchen - still damaged panels doesnt look like what we wanted - 1k of panels on top of order so he could cut them up to fill gaps he measured!!

My husband was fitting it himself & so the kitchen was stripped bare ready for its' arrival. Some items were missing, some were incorrect and all the unit carcasses came the wrong colour. We bought a kitchen, half price. We used our own fitter. A few delays with a number of items being delivered but nothing too bad. The real problem began with the extractor fan, the first was broken, the fan shattered off its mountings. Fitter remarked that it was delicate and not packed properly inside. Ordered another which came eventually, also broken, fan sheered off inside. Spoke to manager at Isleworth Kieran who was very curt and rude, he said he had never come across such a problem but would order me another. He didn't. Chased Customer Services who ordered me a third unit. Came May bank holiday weekend, again smashed inside, no extra packaging as promised. Chased Customer S. said; 'We don't even know the supplier at Customer S, ...can't contact them' and 'Cant speak to manager but he will listen' 'Contact your store' They ordered a fourth unit.

I will never deal with MFI again. My Kitchen was paid for in full in January 2008, delivered 20/2/08 and should have been installed within 3 days. Because I am disabled we paid to stay in a hotel for 3 days so that the water, power etc could be turned off. It is now the end of April and my kitchen is still not installed, there are units ... please please please do NOT buy from mfi. They designed our kitchen, eventually arrived, they had not allowed for enough worktop. tried to order more and told it has been discontinued, told to buy it elsewhere. Then we were 2 units short, tried to reorder them, they came 4 weeks later, totally different from original, 2 hours on phone to customer services, said they have changed thier manufacturers, nothing they can do,.offered to send edging tape to try and match colour of original units, will be 3 more weeks.... What a joke. so i have spent thousands of pounds on a kitchen and have been left with a kitchen with differnt size worktop and different colour units and they wont do anything. zero stars

The first and the last time I shop at MFI, absolute rubish. Order took 1.5 month to deliver and then one piece of furniture completely damaged. They said it will take another 4 weeks to replace it, and furthermore one piece of furniture was different colour from others. I mean how more stupid it can get? I do not understand what kind of f... nutcase they are and what idiots they employ.
