Advantages: High quality produce
Disadvantages: none
We are lucky in as much as we have all 4 "big" supermarkets within easy reach(and Somerfield but they hardly count!) and all 3 of the "bargain" ones as well. I tend to go to Tesco on a regular basis a sI have to go to the area the Tesco is anwyay so I kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
However, I love going to Morrisons and do so at least once a month. At our Morrisons(a newish purpose built one) they have a great cafe with very high quality food on offer. It sometimes gets a little overcrowded but is always clean and there are always enough cutlery/napkins etc.
The fruit and veg at Morrisons are in my opinion exceptional. I went yesterday to take advantage of their current special offers on veg. I got a pack of parsnips for 50p(bought 2 packs) a pack of 4 unwaxed lemons also for 50p(the unwaxed lemmons at tesco were £1.58 and not a patch on the ones I got ) they also had button mushrooms for 50p a pack although it was a very small pack. They had a two pack of rather nice looking peppers(one red and one green) also for 50p I also managed to get a pack of leeks that had been marked down and a large box of value mushrooms reduced as the plastic had been ripped.
Another area where Morrisons excells is in their fresh filled pasta fillings include four cheese and red onion, beef and red wine, a chicken one, spinich and riccotta and feta black olive and sun dried tomato. All very good.
They are often on offer for £2.50 for two packs, which I think is great value as they taste so good.Much better than both Tesco or ASDA
Yesterday to my delight I found the pasta is on offer at £1 per pack which made my day.
I went to check out the freezer in the hope that they would have someQuorn offers. They currently have frozen chunks/mince on offer for £2.50 for two. This is brilliant as Tesco have the same items on offer at £3 for two packs. Normally one pack of either mince or chunks costs about £1.85-99.
To sum it up Morrisons is a great supermarket and fantastic for fresh produce.
Summary: Give Morrisons a try.

- 25/03/09 I love the way Morrisons display their veg - like a market. |

- 02/01/09 I agree with you that Morrison's is best for veg. I can't go to Asda and end up with proper food, but i always do at Morrisons. |

- 19/12/08 I have to say, the reason I dont shop at Morrissons is because of their appalling fruit and veg sections. More often than not, the fruit has started rotting the day after I buy it, and on 2 different occasions, I have had dragonflys in the lettuce!
Maybe it all boils down to which store you use!
