A Poor Supermarket on Most Counts (Morrisons)

My aunt lives near Morrisons and use kids take it in turns to help with her shopping so I visit about once every month to month and a half. While I'm there I often wind up buying a basketload for our house as well as helping my aunt with hers. I don't shop here regularly because I find the fresh stuff isn't very fresh, not like it is at Sainsburys certainly, and also because the prices of some basics are really far too high.

I think that some of the offers in Morrisons are good value but they are few and far between. They've got a great offer on soft drinks at the moment, well pepsi and 7up I believe it is, but of course they were all sold out when I visited. The nearest "bargain" was 2 bottles of RWhites for £1.50 but although I got some for the Christmas stash, I didn't really feel like I got a top bargain there. The one decent bargain I did get in here this week was on chocolate but I can't say anymore in case the Mrs read this, sorry!

The general quality of the food is decent, and the meat and cheese counters are definetely better than Tesco say, but the fruit and vegetables are a bit on the poor side to me. Especially given the relatively high prices compared to places like Tesco and Asda. It's like Morrisons are a Tesco in Sainsburys clothing.

The other thing I hate about this place is that it's always understaffed. There is never enough staff on the checkouts when I come in here and we usually have to wait at least fifteen minutes to get served.

I have to come here for my Aunt and I'll pick up a couple of bargain bits for our house while I'm at it. But I can get my basics much cheaper and Tesco and my fresh bits much better quality from Sainsburys for the same price.
