Advantages: quality, nice stores

Disadvantages: variety, range

Morrisons is probably the smallest of the large supermarket chains. As such, it isn't really able to compete in terms of the aggressive discounting that tesco and asda offer.

however, what they do offer is something different. They pride themselves in freshness and quality, which i clearly shown through their delecatessen, bakery, butchers and fish counters. On the shelves they offer some products that other supermarkets stopped long ago, such as small jars of jam and individual cereal portion packs.

n size, each store tends to be a fair amount smaller than an average supermarket, which is good in some respects, as it gets you around and out quicker, but sometimes it is impossible to get everything you want there.

They offer both a budget and a luxury food range, and they sell cards and dvds/cd's at competitive prices, but their homeware ranges are limited. They dont really do household items and they don't have a clothing department. But after all, they are there to sell food, and high quality food they certainly do manage!

Summary: good for food, not for everything else!
