Advantages: Cheaper than most.

Disadvantages: Quality suffers for the price.

I have recently been a student and so for me money and saving it matters, however I am a huge foodie who loves good quality and isn't afraid to pay for that. On top of this I don't have a car and so I need easy access and want a pleasant shopping service. So on each of these four categorizes (Cost, Quality, Accessability and atmosphere) I shall judge Morrisons from my experience.

Cost: I find it very cheap, especially when compared to my usual shops of Co-op and Sainsburies, I find it on the whole the same expense as asda. I use morrisons to shop for alcohol, own brand tinned vegtables, own brand spices and Brand names eg. chocolates, soft drinks etc.

Quality: On brand names obviously their quality can not be faulted. They have good quality own brand package, and their loose vegtables are also of a sufficient standard. What is of a disappointing quality is their fresh meats and fish.

Locations:
For me there is one close in a city center which has good transport links. In my city there are more Sainsbury's, which includes the express ones. These due to a lack of car are useful as I can not carry a week's worth of shopping on a bus. For me to be a regular shopper of Morrisons I would need there to be more.

Atmosphere:
I can not stand the atmosphere. There are signs around telling you to be careful of bag snatchers!, and it feels so cramped. The staff are not overly polite, but they are not rude. The staff can be very helpful, such as one time when I asked for "Party Rings" the guy had no idea what I was talking about, but he did spend 10 minutes trying to track them down for me.

All in all for me the money saved is not worth it, but if I'm passing by at a quiet time I will pop in to buy a carrier bag full of food.

Summary: Cheap not cheerful, but suffering it may save you money.

I am glad all the Morrisons where I live where taken over by Asda. I did not like the Atmosphere in it either.
