After seeing a few adverts on the telly this week detailing Morrison's special offers I decided to drop by and see what all the fuss was about! The answer - nothing! Ok I decided to go at lunchtime on Sunday which probably wasn't the smartest move but virtually nothing was on sale.
The main offer I was after was pampers nappies - these new simply dry ones (excuse me for thinking that all nappies are meant to do that!) It was a big pack for £5 usually around £8 or £9 so bargain, but all sold out! So off I go to get the clover on offer ½ price deals - all gone! Ok so not very happy at this point I am praying that the fruit shoot offer of 4 for £1 are there , ok not the flavour I was after but still some success. To be completely fair i did get a few good offers that i didn't go in for such as 4 milky bar yogurts for £1 !
I picked up a few other bits and headed towards checkout, I wish I hadn't bothered. The queues were low just one person in front of me but the service was none existent.
Having experienced excellent customer service this weekend from Greggs I was hoping for the same from a major retailer but nope, the woman behind the till just couldn't be bothered. She didn't look me in the eye once, no common courtesy of hello , goodbye just a mumbled do you want cash back? Now I could have forgiven this woman, thought oh well we can't all be happy all the time if it hadn't been for this. Half way through serving me her colleague from the till behind asks her something. Her face lights up and she prattles on about her night out last night, with no regard for me . Then when she has finished she turns round and turns back into a miserable till assistant and hands me back my card.
Most of the time i shop at morrisons i have received good customer service - just not this particular time.
