Advantages: variety & value for money
Disadvantages: no online svs and car parking charges
A new morrisons opened fairly recently in Kettering, as a confirmed Asda (for good value) and Tesco online (for ease of use) customer i thought i would give them a go. Bad Points - Before you go you have to find two £1 coins - one for the car park and one for the trolley - both of which you get back - one at the till and the other when you re-park your trolley - but it is still a hassle. Nowhere near enough parent and child spaces to park No online delivery service (in this area anyway) Good Points - Good fresh veg selection Good fishmongers Good wines and spirits dept Good 'foreign' foods & ingredients selection Overall i was pleasantly surprised with Morrisons - value for money was excellent - compares very favourably with Asda, and has to be cheaper also than Tesco. They have a fantastic range of exotic dried spices - the likes of which I have only seen in specialist supermarkets. they also seem to have a lot of good 'offers' on most weeks - ir 3 for 2 and buy one get one free etc Probably won't do my monthly shop there every time as I prefer to go for the hassle-less online of Tesco - but for a change I would definately recommend it

- 28/03/01 Might want to check your title ("rnage"). Can't get on with Morrisons myself since its association with Somerfield - but then I'm a Sainsburys girl (have one about 10 paces from my door)! |
