Disadvantages: PRICES ££££££££ We allready pay so much tax!!! :-(

I am fed up of high street prices!! Each high street music store i go into i find that the prices are all the same, at odd times prices can be a pound different(or should i say 99p), woh!! not enough to encourage me. We are paying £4 (£3.99) for a single or 1 one piece of music with a bit extra. This should mean that if you buy an Album it would be £4 for each song, thankfully it isnt. Even £16.99 is a ridiculous price for an Album.

The big question is why are all the prices the same?

Well the music industry should be called the 'Monopoly Music Industry'. There is no competition anymore, prices are all RRP, they are all making the same amount of money.
We allready pay so much tax as it is. Its as though there is something going on in the high street land that we arnt allowed info on. Even the Americans are complaining and they only pay $12.00 (& Less in certain states) that is roughly £8.00 depending on the exchange rates etc. for an Album.

Now if you have a credit card you are OKish. You can easily give out your number on the internet and it takes a few days to arrive (Some people dont do this due to security reasons). But what about the 15 year olds that have to work their butt off doing the paper round, they have to fork out more money for that CD. On the internet some places struggle and others have good prices, but i cant buy! i dont have a fancy credit card im only 16.
I believe that the internet will catch on, but in time because there is no KidsCredit card, 'C'mon' banks let us 16 year olds (& Younger) get cheap prices I dont want to pay 16.99 when i could pay 11.99.
OR
Hurry up High street stores and WAKE UP! Start dropping prices. If you can have sales and offers (that no one can ever get to or use all the time) why dont you drop prices perminantly.

These are the high street stores that are in nearly all town centres, just to show you who i am talking about:

. OUR Price

. Woolworths
. WHSmith
. Virgin
. MVC - You have to be a club member to get a pound off products but you need the store to be near you to be worth while. And that doesnt happen.

I would like to point out the worst High Street store name and it is OUR Price. What does OUR Price actually mean, they only sell at the same price as the rest.
Another point is that a few music albums are coming on to DVD, They are also a rip off at £19.99 (£20) thats £10 more than the normal CD depending on its age.

I have to Admit that this opinion would only be useful if i could get everyone to sign something in a protest of high street store prices.

SOMEBODY OUT THERE PLEASE DO SOMETHING

Thanks for reading

There are of course perfectly good reasons why under 18's are not allowed credit!, it also applys to many of us over 18 as well. Still I agree that highstreet prices are extortionate and that as well as car prices the government should focus on the music industry.
