Advantages: cheap bargain bucket cd's

Disadvantages: poorly lad out, poor selection

Here's my review for my local Music Zone shop, which I wrote for the Qype website:

Pros The shop has some top bargains when considered against other high street retailers of music. They seem to have better deals on albums than other major shops. The shop is right outside the main bus station. They also have a DVD section although this is not comprehensive. I have found in the past that the bargain bin section has thrown up some great stuff so it may be worth your while trawling through some crap to find a hidden gem if you are in there. The staff have been helpful towards me when I have been in and have not found a desired cd, they will check their system or even go into the back and root around for something if you cant find it in the shop.

Cons: The shop is poorly laid out in my opinion. The aisles are too narrow and you are having to constantly squeeze past people to get futher down an aisle. Also, the CD's are not arranged in such a clear order. Yes, they are in what could vaguely be described as an A-Z ordering but I dont know if it is the laziness of the staff once people have picked things up and put them back elsewhere but often you will find that CD's are in the wrong place on the shelves which can be incredibly frustrating if you are looking for something and cant find it in amongst the wrongly placed stuff. This place doesnt have the same kind of selection as the major HMV in the city.

Summary: A nice alternative to other music shops, but needs some work
