Newest Review: ... think anybody would be bowled over by this shop as its too small to be impressive, also the amount of stock isn't great, and there's nothing in there that you wouldn't find in another music shop. Matchetts rock shop is perhaps the most widely used musical instrument shop in belfast, outside of maybe Marcus Music. This is the main shop in the Matchetts chain, and cater for a wide range of musical instruments. Matchetts is for budget to pro musicians, though it must be said that there isn't too much in the way of pro equipment. Belfast in general has many music shops dotted around the city, Im going to try and give you the lowdown on most of them, well the ones that i have had experience with. I have been a musician for many years and have spent a great deal of time either gawking through the windows of guitar shops or buying equipment from many of them. For me belfast has a few main music shops. Most notably these are Matchetts (Musical Instruments) Ltd., Marcus Music, Bairds Sound Systems, Session Music and The recently opened Guitar Emporium.
