Advantages: Can have the odd good bargain! A wide choice of items
Disadvantages: Can be a bit messy and untidy
Netto's has been in this country since 1990, it started in Denmark in 1981 before coming across to us.It is a cross between a small Tesco Metro and a warehouse, with its open shelfing. A lot of the products are sold directly from
the cardboard boxes they are delivered in, therefore the lower prices!
I visit Netto's about every 6 - 8 weeks to check out what they have new instore as they don't just sell food and drinks, the also sell bits of furniture
b-b-que's, toys, clothing, gardening tools, pushchairs computer desks ect......
They do get some good bargains in sometimes, but you have to be there
at the right time. I once got a wooden spice rack holding 24 Schwartz herb and spice jars, they had a long date on them and it was only £13 (in Argos
I believe it was around £25). It would cost more to purchase these jars
individually at the supermarket!
We have in the past got some good Halogen heaters for only £4 because
it was at the end of winter.(Think ahead is my motto!). It can put you off when entering the store as it can look a bit messy and untidy, but if you hunt about it isn't to bad.
The food side of it can be okay, but I think I can get most of the branded
names for much the same in a well known supermarket if they are on offer.
It's not a bad idea to look online at their magazine before you go to see if
it is worth a trip that week.
There are about 200 stores throughout England and they are hoping to open about another 20 stores a week, so maybe one will open where you
live, but don't forget your bags as they do charge for all the different size
bags they have.
Summary: This shop is great if you like rummaging about !
