Premium Review Netto: CHEAP BUT NOT TOO CHEERFUL (318 words)
by - written on 18/03/01 (Useful, 58 readings)
Rating:

NETTO is one of the lower end chains of Supermarkets, very like a 'Lidl' or an 'Aldi'. They specialise in the old Kwik Save philosophy of 'Pile it high - sell it cheap'. They do have some 'own brands', but mainly it it loads and loads of foreign/European branded goods. The quality for most of these items ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great Bargains From Netto (231 words)
by - written on 17/03/01 (Very useful, 751 readings)
Rating:

I had my eyes opened last week when I visited our local Netto Supermarket. A lot of people say it is a tatty shop and the goods are cheap rubbish. In our town there is a bit of a stigma about it and the joke goes, What is yellow and black and full of rubbish? …..…A Netto carrier bag. Well I don’t think ...  Read the complete review

Netto: Ignore this opinion (96 words)

I would like to apologize for the previous opinion here. A friend published it. Sorry! Well I know little of Netto, so hopefully dooyoo can delete this USELESS opinion. Once again sorry - I didn't publish the previous opinion that may of coarsed offence to some. I am told that Netto is some sort of budget supermarket, like Lidl but ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap and excellent value (177 words)
by - written on 05/01/01 (Useful, 65 readings)
Rating:

Although Netto has a reputation for being cheap and probably not very good quality, I think it is an excellent store. The people who malign the quality of goods in the store are usually those who never shop at Netto. It isn't attractively laid out or as inviting as many big name supermarkets and if you look in through the window you might ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto: Cheap but limited (242 words)
by - written on 14/11/00 (Very useful, 53 readings)
Rating:

I can't say that I'm a frequent shopper in this place but I have used it a few times. Chances are I would have used it more often had they had a better selection of goods but sadly they do not sell enough products with enough variety to actually do a weekly shop there. I found myself going to Netto and then onto Tesco afterwards to get ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review What A Pong! (140 words)
by - written on 03/11/00 (Useful, 77 readings)
Rating:

My sister tried to warn me off from shopping at Netto, but I was determind to give it a try. The way she described it to me was "A gathering place for the great unwashed!" As I walked through the doors I understood what she meant. Whilst the shop itself seemed reasonably clean a lot of the shoppers were not. Whilst ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto: Net a bargain (139 words)
by - written on 11/10/00 (Very useful, 84 readings)

I normally shop at Tesco but I was out with my friend at week-end and she asked me to go to Netto with her. It was not as smart as Tesco but the prices were really cheap, I bought a few things I needed which were even cheaper than Tesco's. Surf washing tablets were £1.25 cheaper, Tetley Tea Bags were 50p cheaper and an extra large chicken only ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review First and last visit :-( (198 words)
by - written on 27/08/00 (Useful, 107 readings)
Rating:

Maybe I was unlucky? I don't know. I have heard a number of people praise this supermarket, but I am afraid my first visit was my last one! I was in Halifax, on a hot, sunny day with my son, and we were both desperate for a drink. Netto was jsut acros the road, so we went there. I cannot believe how awful it was! Goods were just heaped ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto: More like Oh No! (117 words)
by - written on 15/08/00 (54 readings)
Rating:

Netto's opened a store down the road from me and I thought I would have a look. OK, its cheap, presentation is cut the box open and bung out the whole pallet. I can deal with that. All they seem to stock is rich Tea biscuits and toilet roll. Not even good toilet roll at that. As it was just down the road, I tried the essentials, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Okay you can't expect the service and cheap prices! (115 words)
by - written on 11/08/00 (Very useful, 33 readings)
Rating:

Having been to Netto really to see what all the fuss is about, I must say that I don't really enjoy the experience of shopping there. Crowded aisles, less than helpful (and happy) staff and no customer service whatsoever! But hey we can't expect all this and cheap prices can we? Actually after trying some of their foods they really do ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto: Cheap and NASTY (161 words)
by - written on 11/08/00 (Very useful, 95 readings)
Rating:

Ok so it's not that bad but it certainly isn't my favourite place to shop. The stores never seem to be quite big enough and there are never enough staff to serve at the tills or generally help. The stock is generally poor also, although you can get some bargains on things like cleaning equipment, wine and beer or other goods ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto -Pile 'Em High - Sell 'Em Cheap (305 words)
by - written on 28/07/00 (Very useful, 669 readings)
Rating:

Netto Supermarkets are definitely not the place to shop if you like plenty of choice and lots of space to do your shopping. The Stores all have the same untidy appearance no matter which one you go to,and there appears to have been very little thought gone into the layout of the stores. Netto work on the "pile em high - sell em ...  Read the complete review

Netto: Nil to netto (123 words)

Dont like the store, love the prices, the whole layout of the shop is appalling, staff wandering around without uniforms blocking isles wqith boxes. Horrendous logo and who wants to be seen with a netto carrier bag?. However for value for money they are hard to beat from apples to alcohol, dont really rate some of the products which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Netto - Scandinavian For Cheap!  (212 words)
by - written on 14/07/00 (Useful, 131 readings)
Rating:

Netto is one of those 'cheapo' stores that many people (wrongly) feel they wouldn't be seen dead in. Far too downmarket for them. I say they are fools though. To shop at Netto's is the tops! What's cool about paying up to twice as much ofr the very same item of grocery? Why would people rather pay 20 pence more for a ...  Read the complete review
