New Look is a large clothing and accessory store. Some branches of this store are very small but the one in Carlisle is large and has two floors of ladies', teens, gents clothing and shoes, plus a range of accessories and a few gift items.

Price range from very cheap to middle range for the latest fashions. Our local store seems to have a permanent sale in progress which suits me fine.

Of course, if you like to wear the latest up to the minute styles you pay for the privilege but if you don't mind wearing fashions that may be a few months out of date, you can get some really good bargains here.

Gents tee-shirts and dress shirts are cheap and range from about £5 upwards. There are, of course, higher priced items that are right up to date fashion wise.

In the teens section there is a huge selection of all the latest styles and colours, plus a great selection of accessories.

The women's section caters for sizes from 6 to 20 and covers all fittings. By that I mean that the cut of the clothes is not just for very thin, tall women. There are designs for the fuller figured woman too. This is unusual in a store of this type because many of the others cater for younger women who do not have full figures. For example, in a shop like Mark One (that was!) a size 16 probably wouldn't fit a full figured woman who is a size 14 normally because the cut of the clothing is not designed for older women.

New Look caters for all shapes and sizes and has the best selection of lengths, fittings and sizes of ladies trousers of any shop around. I find that a pair of size 14 trouser of 30 inch length, in their standard fit range fits me perfectly. If I buy from any other shop I always have to have them altered.

The shoe shop is upstairs in our branch and there are shoes in every style and design you could imagine. Hats, belts, scarves and jewellery to complete your outfit are also available.

So, New Look caters for women of all ages, teens, and men and offers excellent prices right across the range. The quality is what I would call middle of the road on most items although there are some things that look very poor indeed, especially some of their blouses which don't seem to be finished off properly.
