Advantages: Large range, new stock constantly

Disadvantages: Quality at times isn't the best, service issues in some stores

Two years ago if I was told New Look would be in my top 10 (well actually top 7) places to shop I would have laughed and said not a chance. Looking back the place sold really poor quality items (granted at low prices) the range was very poor and the stores were shabby and New Look in general just was not a good shopping experience. How it has changed!!

Main range
Lots of choice and always rotating. Good selction of casual clothing and a very good selection of going out wear. Going out dresses are very good value at around £25 for a really special / detailed dress you are looking to pay no more than £40.

Accessories
So much choice. Not the greatest of quality but they are at value prices/

Sizing
Main range from 6-18. Slightly larger than the average high street sizes in some clothes. In particular jeans however this varies between styles and products.

New look does a lot of different ranges from childrens wear to inspire from sizes 16+. There really is something for everyone

Workwear
Excellent range from smart skirts, tops, dresses to full suits . The length of the skirts in general aren't too short and the tops are feminine and emphasise curves without being too low cut. You can pick up a trouser suit set for £40 in total. The trousers also come in leg lengths from 29inches to 34 inches. Machine washable and the quality isn't too bad. In fact my work colleagues thought my New Look suit looked the same as my Next premium range suit... Bit annoying really as the latter cost me £150!!

Footwear
My favourite part of the store!!! Massive choice of shoes especially going out heeled shoes!! You are looking at paying between £25- £30 for a pair of going out shoes a really special pair will cost you £40 and they are such good value! You have the choice between lower heels (2 inches) all of the way up to 5 inches (actually I think I have just bought a pair higher than that).. One drawback is that there are more heels

Lingerie
Excellent value for matching sets and there are some lovely designs. As more people have discovered this underwear secret availability of certain sizes has just gone. I now find that all of the 32 backed bras have gone in stores and I have to go online to get the size I want. Always deals on... 2 bras for £10 etc or 5 pairs of briefs for £10.

Men's clothes
My boyfriend even can have a browse around in the larger stores and the men's clothing are fashionable at a very reasonable price £10 for a smart t shirt, jackets start at £30.

Service
OK. In most stores great and staff are happy to help. Have had two occasions when trying to return something I had to argue despite being within my right to return and item. One time was from an online return which you can return in store even though I was told when I got to the store you couldn't do this and that the authorisation letter for a refund which was sent by the online customer service rep from the New Look website was made up by me and that I was a liar! At one point I actually thought it was a wind up the service was that bad. I actually sent an email to head office about my experience and because of the problem I had ins tore I got a £20 voucher. I think in general New Look value customer service , just maybe some individuals that work for them don't but this is the case for every store!!

Secret Tip
Generation 915 clothing.. childrens wear which is also quite trendy and fashionable however aimed at children. Sizes go up to 170cm (aged 16) which depending on the item adults can get into. I usually wear a 6-8 (32 inch length) in trousers and got away with a 13-14year old sized pair of combats. My friend is a size 10 and got the same pair in 170cm. Total bargain find at £8!! Obviously the shape of the children's clothing doesn't suit curves so there are only certain items that adults can fit into!!!

Some of the smaller stores do not stock as great range but the larger New Look stores are fantastic and show just how much New Look has changed. If you don't live near a larger store go online and there is an excellent range here. At this rate they will be in my top 3 high street stores by Next Year. Stylish clothing at a low cost!

Summary: A really improved high street store that offers great value for fast fashion. Especially shoes!!
