Advantages: Big changing rooms, helpful staff.

Disadvantages: Some items are over-priced, seams tend to wear quickly.

New look is a fashion store for many, they offer womenswear, plus size womenswear, menswear and clothing for young girls. New look are towards the lower end of the price spectrum on the high street and offer clothing for all occasions.

Starting with womenswear, I can honestly say that New Look do sell some lovely clothes, most magazines for high street shopping mention New Look frequently which I'm sure builds hype around certain items. The clothes themselves are well made although I personally have had quite a few instances where seams have ripped or zips have broken after one wear. However if this happens the staff in New Look seem to be very friendly and are more than willing to exchange or refund the item as quickly as possible.

The shoes that New Look sell are fab! Some with stupidly high heels that I can't see anybody actually wearing, but most are a nice height with manageable heels. The shoes (flat ones especially) do have a tendency to be very hard and so rub on ankles and toes causing blisters. However surprisingly I haven't found this with their heels, I'm wondering if this is because in a heel your foot is tipped forward and therefore your heel isn't in constant contact with the back of the shoe too often.

Plus size clothing at New Look is very often the same as the regular sized clothing but just bigger, no difference in the designs at all. They also offer wide fit shoes for people with wider feet which has obviously been thought through and is a clever idea that only a few other stores have picked up on.

Menswear at New Look is a relatively new idea and it is quickly expanding through their branches. Fashionable clothing is on offer, as well as smart shirts, ties and suits. The new "man-bags" have also been a big hit and New Look have cottoned on to this quickly.

915 is the childrenswear department at New Look, I know it is available for girls but am not sure if it is on offer for boys. The clothes here are largely focused around children's icons such as "Hannah Montana", "Spongebob Squarepants" and famous pop singers. There are some lovely lines that are fashionable but not revealing for young girls. There are also shoes for this range, I have seen lots of 6/7 years old teetering around on the 1 inch kitten heels and looking very cute! It is nice that there is somewhere that offers this sort of clothing to this age range - there aren't many shops that give girls who are slightly younger than teenagers a chance to show off with their clothes.

The changing rooms in New Look are plentiful and there never seem to be huge queues waiting. Inside there are 3 mirrors and good lighting, as well as pegs to hang the clothes up on.

Overall New Look is a good high street store that offers fashion to the masses and is very popular with women in particular. I hope that the company keep expanding and continue to offer reasonably priced clothing to everyone!
