Advantages: Good quality, reasonably cheap prices, seems to be fashionable
Disadvantages: all ways the same stock
I'm 14. My mum normally drags me in saying 'ooo isnt this silver gel bra lovely' or 'Why dont I buy you this pretty floral dress for your auntys christmas due?', my usual reply is no way no how!
I must admit, I have bought a couple, ok a few items from new:look but not without being forced or even bribed into it! Only because new look is definately not my style!
Ok,Ok it does have nice flairy jeans, and a little off your shoulder number, even the wedge stilletos. Im sure there good quality, my 3 sisters seem to swear by the shop! Even my mum seems to be hooked every time we go to the shoping places.
This is why you either love it, or hate it.
Why you might love it...:
Im sure their goods are good quality and everything seems really pretty when you see it in the shop. There are loads of thing available like, watches, clothes, nighties, caps, jackets, jewellery, bath stuff etc.The shop is well organized and has different sections like a shoe area, jewellery and sport clothes and bigger sizes so you know what groun you've covered. The stores are often quite spacious and big like the one in The Trafford centre and warrington town centre. The sales are good and normally have a few rails of last season reduced items where you can save a pound or 2.
Why you might hate it...:
every time I go in its the same, little Denim skirts, beige tops, little denim skirts and more beige tops, whch does start to irritate you after the 4th time that week! its just not for you, you may prefer more casual less 'perky' clothes than flairs and a low cut top. you may be sick of seeing everyone wear the same stuff. One month its the combat style, every ones wearing karky pants and mesh top, next month its the indian look with the wrap around thingys that go round your jeans. but if you keep up to date with the fashions , like most people, go for it this is the shop for you!

It doesntlook that different from any other teenage clothes shop, similay to c mark 1 ( I always get confused anyway) the clothes inside the shop are very similar to c mark 1 also and its like an older version of Tammy I suppose.
My advice is; if you hate it keep away from it. Else youll end up slumped near a cubicle eith your best mate or your mum shouting 'does this make my bum look big?'
On the other hand, if you love it go for it. A perfect place to spend the day doing one of those shopping sprees, and I'm sure your boyfriend would just love to escort you!!

- 27/05/03 I love New Look, have the account card and everything! They are one of the few shops I've found that does give an account card to students and the interest is very low, eg when I have a £60 balance the interest is only usually £1. The sizes are great as they go from matchstick thin to normal-non-supermodel-hum an sizes. Viva these cool shops like New Look, Mark One, Matalan and Primark I say!!

- 25/05/03 I'm 14 too...And my Mum does that 'ooooh isn't this nice' type thing whenever we go in to New Look aswell! I think New Look is alright but it's not my first choice when I'm looking for clothes..not really my sorta style either...though I did get a nice necklace there a few weeks ago! |
