Advantages: Turnover scratch mitts

Disadvantages: Tend to go bobbly after a few washes

Although I am not keen on a lot of their baby clothes, the only sleepuits I buy for my son are from Next. The best ones come in a pack of 3 for £12 and are availale from Tiny Baby size upwards. Rather than being in a packet as many sleepsuit sets are, these come on 3 hangers bound together with an elastic band, which is very useful if you are short of hangers in baby's wardrobe.

I find they are the roomiest width-ways although he grew out of each size lenth-wise far sooner than in any other clothes. I had bought lots of different newborn and 0-3 sleepsuits but after discovering how useful the turnover scratchmits that are built into the Next ones are I used none but those from Next (and bought lots more). This is especially useful if you have a baby who scratches him/herself as I did because it saves having to put scratch mitts on (and they often fall off and several scratches have appeared before you have even noticed). Also I found it a nightmare trying to find small enough scratch mitts for a newborn and Next sleepsuits solved this problem.

They come in loads of different colours and designs and my son lived in them day and night for his first weeks. We have had all different colours from baby blue to multi-coloured patterned white ones, and red star ones around Christmas time.

They wash well ok but they do go quite bobbly after a while.

Summary: The benefits of the turnover sleeves far outweigh anything negative I could say about them
