Advantages: Affordable, fashionable and good quality.

Disadvantages: The sales are hectic!

I am sure I was not the only one to visit Next today! They advertised a big mid season sale on the television to go on today and tomorrow so my daughter and I were down to our local branch this morning.

Ordinarily, Next is very good for quality clothing and none of our family have had cause to complain in the past. Next retail a variety clothing in both modern and classic styles to suit the whole family from baby through to retirement. Their good quality does come at a price though this is usually within reason. For example I can expect to pay around £30 for a really nicely made fashion top but I can also pick up basic tee-shirt tops for around £5 each.

In the sale, my daughter and I picked up one or two bargains. For ourselves we landed a few pairs of jeans each for less than £10 a pair! Next jeans are always good quality and each pair lasts for at least a few years so we both agreed that this was a bargain buy.

In the children's section, we managed to pick up a couple of nice items for my grandson including some super soft long-sleeved tops for £4 each and some jumpers ready for next year for £5 each.

The children's clothing is actually very reasonable compared to a lot of shops in that it meets a good compromise between quality and price. Their basic boy's jeans cost £9 per pair at full price and are really thick, good quality clothes that our grandson has never managed to tear or rip. They sell similar jeans in Tesco for £6 but they frequently need replacing making them a bit of a false economy. I have also noted that Tesco tops tend to shrink in the wash a little and are easy to bobble and loose their shape, whereas Next tops do not do this making them much better value for money overall.

I really do like Next and especially enjoy shopping there when there is a sale on. I think they make good quality clothes for very fair and reasonable prices.

Summary: I really like this shop.
