All in all, good value for money & fashionable too (Next)

Advantages: Clothes are quite cheap

Disadvantages: Quality isn't always great

I have been shopping at Next on and off since I was a teenager, but have shopped regularly with them for about the past 4 years when I started receiving their directory. Their women's clothes are a bit mixed I feel. I love their jeans, as I find it very hard to find jeans to fit me, and their jeans do fit well. They are also cheap, generally costing around £20-£40. But they don't last long, I can get through a pair in about 6 months, they tend to go in the knees. I have other jeans that have lasted me for years. Their other clothes are nice, not great quality but considering the fairly low price you pay, they are good value for money. Beware though, some of their patterned tops are very distinctive and very popular. I got a lovely top over the summer (for £10 a bargain) and 3 times now I have been to meet a friend only to find they are wearing the same top! I tend to stick to their plain, basics now.

For children's clothes they are ok. They do tend to do mini adult versions of things though, which I don't like. I choose my children's clothes primarily based on comfort, and sometimes I don't think the Next children's clothes look all that comfortable or practical, rather they are designed with fashion in mind. They do have some nice girl's clothes though, and it's not all pink. There is a range of colours. There are some funky Star Wars and Transformers T-shirts for little boys which my son loves. For basics - pants, plain tops, leggings etc they are unbeatable on price.

Summary: Move away from the patterned tops!
