For those who don't know what Next is, it is a store that sells womens, mens and childrens clothes and also good for the home. It is located on most high streets and there is also a Next Outlet store near where I live (in the Royal Quays Outlet Centre, North Shields).

Those who have read my previous reviews will know that I am very small! I am five feet tall and weigh seven and a half stone, meaning that I take a size six clothing (please don't assume that this is too skinny, for my size, this is actually about right!). Being so small can inevitably make it difficult to find clothes which fit well. Often, I am resigned to taking trousers and jeans to be altered, to allow them to fit properly.

Next, as with many high street stores have a petite range so this is one of the places that I sometimes go to shop. The choice is relatively good, however, I do have an issue with the sizing, and having discussed this with friends, find that most of them feel the same way.

The issue is that, for some reason, no two sizes seem to be the same. I can pick up one pair of size six trousers which fit very well. The next pair however, can be either too big or too small - how can this be if they are both size six?!

In Next, it really is a case of trying everything on, you cannot assume that they will fit, which can be a little frustrating. Having said that, the clothes are usually reasonably priced and the quality is decent too. I buy quite a lot of things for my eighteen month old niece and they are always pretty and last well too.

Their homeware goods are also nice, with a good choice of contemporary items ranging from bedding to ornaments. Definitely worth a look if you plan to update something in your house.

In summary, a good range of reasonably priced goods, but make sure that you try things on to check that they fit properly before buying!
