Advantages: Quite often have good special offers.

Disadvantages: Small, cramped stores, usually quite expensive.

Our Price seems to be a transitional stage in it's growth, rapidly becoming more of mobile communications store than specifically geared towards music/video.

Since Virgin acquired rights to the stores, they've set about making a lot of them mainly mobile phone shops. The result is that upon walking into a store, you'll feel cramped in by the overwhelming advertising, small aisles and racks and racks of videos. This seems to be a feature of all the Our Price stores I've been into (a fair few).

Prices are nothing special. Although generally slightly lower than places like HMV, they are nothing special and you can easily beat them either elsewhere on the High Street or online in particular. If you check in at regular intervals over the coming months, you're likely to find some good deals though as they seem to be shifting a lot of their older stock to make way for their new merchandise.

The stores are cramped and unwelcoming, as I mentioned, and they sell a much smaller range of products than elsewhere. However, worth a look for the likelihood of some good special offers.
