Advantages: very cheap, lots more books than ordinary charity shops, wide selection and unusual books

Disadvantages: close early, about 4pm, unlikely to get new titles, can't order titles you specifically want

As far as I am aware, Oxfam are the first charity shop chain to start separating books and other merchandise into different shops, fantastic if, like me, you read so many books your bank balance can't keep up! Oxfam book shops are great for a number of reasons; most books there cost less than a pound, there are usually a few hundred books to browse through, and you don't have the disappointment of trawling the charity shops to fiond they have no books on that p[articular day. The staff are usually people who are book mad as well, which can be helpful if you're looking for a book for a friend rather than yourself, as they're really friendly and full of good advice! Help other people and help yourself too! Go to an Oxfam bookshop today!
