Are Oxfam sizeist??? (Oxfam in general)

Advantages: A haven for those who have lost loads of weight

Disadvantages: Nothing for the fatties!

My Mum likes nothing better than trompsing through the charity shops and Oxfam have the biggest turnover of any of them in Plymouth. However..... nearly all the clothes are in size 12 or less!

I have come to the conclusion that as people put on weight they donate all their tight things to the charity shop and then buy the larger sizes. The result is that the rail are groaning with skinny clothes and the shop is groaning with large ladies all looking for size 16's and larger!

The clothes are very cheap and usually of good quality, if you have succeeded on your diet you could have a field day!

Is this just in our store or is it general. Or are the people of Plymouth just too weak-willed to stick to their diets and get rid of their clothes knowing they will never get slim enough to get into them!
