Advantages: Range and design
Disadvantages: Can be expensive
I feel you can get addicted to certain shops and the recent opening of a Paperchase shop in my hometown has got me hooked.
Stationery isn't perhaps the most exciting thing in the world but Paperchase ups the ante quite a bit. The products are well designed, covetable items that make great gifts.
As it's coming up to Christmas right now, the shop has lots of seasonal goods and stocking fillers for sale. The diaries and blank recipe books make good gifts as they are stylish and come in a large range of funky designs, nothing dull here. Most of these come in at under £10 so won't break the bank either. The quality of the paper used in items is top notch too.
The cards for sale are beautiful, some really clever and interesting designs. I've so gone off places like Clintons because they only seem to stock tacky, vulgar rubbish these days, Paperchase is the opposite.
While most stock is reasonable some items are expensive, the gift boxes and bags seem to range between £3.75 and £6 but this is typical of any other shop really (and these are much more stylishly designed)
I've got quite a few things her for Christmas, the Christmas range starring 'Panda and friends' which is Paperchase's own design is fun and suits all ages. A sheet of strong Christmas paper is £1 as is a packet of present stickers, perfect for that special gift amongst the others!
Summary: Addictive
