Peacocks have nearly 500 branches nationwide so the likelyhood is that there will be one in a High Street near you! With the credit crunch pinching us all at the moment this is the type of clothes store that will become more popular as the clothes and shoes are really cheap.

I was on the hunt this weekend to find a new winter coat. I spotted one I liked in Next but its was £75! There was no way I was going to pay that! I have to confess that I hadn't been in our local Peacocks store before but thought I would give it a go! I found a coat in there similar to the one I had seen in Next for £25! Although it wasn't quite as nice it does the job and for less than half the price it was not to be sniffed at!

I spent a good half hour browsing the store after being so pleased with my coat find! I couldn't believe some of the prices! Socks a pound a pair, pyjamas for ten pound, jumpers for a fiver!

There is a great choice of clothes, shoes and accesories. The store does seem quite cluttered but when you are looking for a bargain we don't mind having a bit of a rummage do we?! There do tend to be multiple items of clothes on rails so you need to look behind the first item you see.

The changing rooms were quite spacious. There's nothing worse than feeling like a battery chicken whilst trying to get a view of your backside in the mirror! It's not a pretty sight anyway and I don't want to be too close to that mirror!

I didn't have to que for very long, only a few minutes. The staff were friendly and smiling which is a bit of a rare thing these days!

I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a bargain! Whilst the quality of the goods may not be up to other high street standards the prices are just far too tempting!
