Great store very affordable (Peacocks)

Advantages: Great shoes and jewellery, big changing rooms

Disadvantages: Clothes seem to be everywhere.

Peacocks is a great little shop for reasonably priced clothes, they sell men's and women's wear as well as having a children's section that is quite popular.

My favourite thing about this store is the amazing shoes that they sell. I love being able to go into peacocks with £20, buy a pair of shoes and still walk away with £5/£10 change! I don't think you'd find anything in store that costs over £40. Seriously.

One of the good points about this shop is the basics they sell, apart from Primark I would say their tracksuits, vest tops, and socks are the cheapest. And they last well too. They sell packs of three coordinating coloured vest tops for £5 which is hard to beat.

The main downturn of the shop is the way in which things always seem to be scatted everywhere, which puts some people off. Saying this though, whenever I'm in there the staff are always going round trying to pick up odd bits that have been knocked off of hangers and the stray items people discard at the till. It's got to be a tough job, and when there are 5 or 6 of you it's probably hard to keep up!

Sometimes the jewellery in peacocks is worth a look, although the "silver" stuff tends to turn green after a few wears. I love the beads that they sell, and they obviously try to keep up to date with catwalk trends.

One time I went into another well known highstreet store and bought a pair of dark leopard print jeans which I completely feel in love with...even though they cost me £25. Then a couple of weeks later I went into peacocks and they had the EXACT same pair in there for £16...almost £10 cheaper!!!!!!!
Needless to say I took mine back and got a refund and then went straight into Peacocks and bought the cheaper pair! And I'm not imagining things they were identical, apart from the label inside which obviously said two different shops.

Overall I would definitely recommend peacocks as a great place to pick up something nice and comfortable to wear if you don't have a tonne of money to spend.
