Well most of you know me by now, I am called Pudsey, she who must be obeyed called me after the Pudsey bear as she thought I was so cute, Over to you James the cat, Hiya my name is James and together we want to tell you about our favourite store Pets at home. Pudsey will take you through the layout and the dog section and I will take you through the cat sections and we will fight for the rest, woof woof, miaow....

The Store and its layout
------------------------
In general these stores are normally just placed outside of town and on the main you have to drive there. This can be a bit time consuming if you have only one pet to buy for but mum has to buy for 4 dogs and 3 cats!

There is easy car parking outside our store and literally you just walk right off the car park into the store. The store logo is a picture of a green cat silhouetted on a yellow dog on a black background. Emblazened on the green banner strip.

The store is well lit and I love to drag mum around the sections that she has no intentions of going. MMM hang on a mo just seen a nice looking girly dog walking down there, come on mum, I hear her muttering something about the fact that we do not have gerbils and she pulls me back. Now when I first pulled up outside this store I thought oh hear we go again dumped outside waiting whilst she does a mammoth shop or locked in the car... Boring... Delight, she opens the car door throws on me lead and were off....Calm down she says but this is one of the only pet friendly stores in the country that I take her around, it is not the other way around honest... It is very well lit inside as well and the aisles are very wide which is brilliant as I can run round and have a good look at everything. Items are displayed well on walls and in freezers and on standalone display stands.

Over to you cat emmm I mean James... huh the cheek of the working dog!

Sections Within the Store
-------------------------

Cats
Dogs
Food
Fish to buy
Small Animals to buy
Birds to buy
Gifts

Cats
----
This is my favourite section, as you walk into my store the cat section is on the right hand side. Wow even for us senior cats its a lot of fun ... they sell a wide range of cat food and at the moment they have iams on offer, buy a 3kg and you get a free tin, now why did she not come back with a tin the other day after all the dosey mare come in with a 3kg and consequently dropped half of it on the floor.

They also sell catnip toys and collars and leads and every type of medicine that you can think of to do with a cat. They have Christmas stockings, must get her to get me that one this year am sick of the same old pressie every year. This year I will do a letter to Cat Santa. Also they sell cat treats and litter trays and cat beds. In fact they do every accessory you can think of to do with my spiecies.

Birds
-----
Wow quick come and have a look, I can see them, miaowwwwwww, try get in the cage and she pulls me away. Typical, she tells me I must be good otherwise its back off me lead and back into the cat basket. I comply for the moment been. They sell real live birds, lots of different spieces from exotic ones down to dear old joey. All the prices of these birds are reflectants on the type of animal that you wish to buy. Again they sell a lot of the equipement like bird cages and little mirrors and stands and every you would need to make your bird happy and the feed that it would need.

They also sell wild food bird so that you can feed them in the winter. Also a variety of stands that they can sit and rest and have a nibble on.

Gifts
-----
Awww come on mum I want to go back and watch those birds ;0). With another sharp tug she drags me over to the centre of the store and away from my feathered friends. Here is the gift section where you can buy wrapping paper with cats and dogs on and mugs with t
he breed of animal you have. Also here you can buy books that will explain all about the animal you have bought. There are T shirts, calendars, all sorts of cards for every occasion, note books. There is just so much that they sell in this section that it is impossible for me to go into all of it. You do really need to go and have a look yourself.

They also do a christmas range and just beware that some of these products can be quite expensive but if your as batty as my mum you will buy something from here.

Oh no, you will never believe this fish, I have just seen fish, did some one say dinner! lets go... At this mum is not impressed with my behaviour and I am put back into my cat basket and deposited back in the car. She mutters something like I will never bring you back to this store again. MMMM that is what she thinks. Right over to you Pudsey and if you can bring me a treat out I will appreciate it matey ;0)

Dogs
----
Huh that James gets away with murder just cost he is an old cloth cat. Well now he is back under lock and key, let me take you around this section. As you enter this store the dogs section is on your left hand side and it is a really big section.

Here you can buy dog leads and collars. I did not know there were so many different makes and collars. Mum is trying to me make me look cute and buys me a purple and orange collar in nylon with a click fastener with grey bones all over it for £10. It is a good quality one and has lasted a long time. Wow you ought to see all the quality of toys they have, christmas toys, balls, pullers, snowmen, santa, wow it is my dream to be locked in here overnight and just play and have a lot of fun. I pick one toy up and she has not noticed. I think Santa is coming home with me tonight.

There are combs and flea stuff and medical things to do with a dog and puppy feeders and books and information sheets on puppies. This store has just got everything you need. She is
now looking at new dog guards for the car as she bought one with bars on but me been such a clever dog, watched how she altered the bars and it was not so long before I could do it. Also if this fails, just charge it, it soon collapsed. They have dog car seat belts as well. Again this is a very vast section and sells lots and lots of products.

Fish
----
Haha James, I am going down to the fish section and you cannot come, na na na na na. The fish section is near the middle of the store and again there are aquariums for sale down to a fish bowl. There are details on how to look after your fish and all fish food is there for you to buy. Crikey if Devil cat was here, his mouth would be watering by now.

As I go down to the end of the store there are a large array of aquariums where you can allsorts of fish ranging from goldfish down to tropical fish. Just ask the staff if you want one and the staff will oblige. Although James the cat asked and they sent him on his way lol.

Small animals
-------------
By small animals, I have not seen these sort of animals before only cats and dogs, so I am intrigued by the pets corner they have which is actually not in a corner but more like in the middle of the store. There are white fluffy things called rabbits and hamsters and guinea pigs all housed here. Mum lets me go and have a sniff but when I put me paws up on the fence that surrounds their home, she draws the line at that and pulls me back. All I wanted to do with them is make friends, oh well back to my ball.

Again by asking staff you can purchase one of these animals.

When you walk past this towards the exit you will find all the small animals section. You can buy starter packs here for most of the animals like cages and hutches. Again they have the bedding that they require and food and toys. I ask mum if we can have a rabbit and she says do you not think I have enough with you and she carries on walking as I look
back and say goodbye to my new friends.

Food
----
MMM would you like to try some? I walk into this section and its absolutely massive, I honestly do not know which way to look and see all the moutherwatering food. Every brand is there and every size is there. You can buy from a single product right down to bulk buying. There is dry food for dogs and cats and also tinned food, complete food, just everything. Now I am getting hungry and mum says we have to go soon.

As I pass this section, there is another standalone ailse which intrigues me. A good sniff tells me its chews and bones and I instantly head towards it and drop santa. At this point mum sees that I have a new toy and puts it in her basket. It now has puncture marks in it and slobber all over it and she laughs. She meets a friend who is talking to her and saying what a cutie I am, but what she does not know is I have eaten a couple of the loose chews.. Ha stay and talk a bit more mum..She finishes the conversation and heads towards checkout. Let me stay here, please let me stay but onwards and upwards she goes.

Checkout and Staff
------------------
The staff are brilliant and are very pet friendly and they encourage you to take your pet in to the store. Mum pays for all the goodies and buys one of the animal charity pins and the girl who mum knows says what a cutie I am, I blush and hide behind mum. The girl gives me a treat but to be honest My eyes were just diverted by that girlie border collie. Everything is now bagged and we go past the checkout and think thats a good shop when she spots the next section.

Tags
----
There is a tag section here that you pay £5 per cat/dog tag and you type in the details you want and you watch it create your design. You can have anything from love hearts to bones to a cat or dog to even the simple circular ones. Mine is in blue and the cats are in red. You have to go back to the checkout and get a token for the mac
hine.

Would We recommend the Store
----------------------------
Yes we would, it is brilliant to be able to wander around with your humans in tow. Ok the prices are a just a bit more expensive but to be honest mum does not mind as she loves taking us there when we behave

Well thats just about the end of my opinion and James so we are put back in the car and start our journey home.

But before I go, checkout www.petsathome.co.uk This is their website and it has a store locator on it and lots of information about opening hours and competitions and welfare of animals. Also it has all the details of special offers in the store.

We are now at home and it is time for me to go to bed and dream of been let loose in their all by myself, with out the cat!

Woof from me and Miaow from James ;0)
