Advantages: Money off the contract.

Disadvantages: Didn't get what I wanted, really complicated to sort out.

I went in to get a new contract and phone as I'd been on my last one for a long time. At first I was a bit weary because the guy serving my didn't seem to understand what I wanted and get me other, newer or more high tech things, but as I said I'd think about it I was told that I could get £10 of my monthly priceof £30 to make it £20 per month, so I agreed as it seemed a good deal, and got flogged off with a phone I didn't really look at or want at first but it was ok. I also checked about things like internet acess on the phone, which I specifically said I didn't want and was told that would be fine. Later on however, my bills were around £25 which we went in to sort out, and were told that they had been charging us for internet on the phone as well, which the network then thankfully allowed us to explain and cancel, and refunded us, but also the £20 we were quoted as what we would pay, was infact pre-VAT so we're actually paying more than that anyway. I wasn't impressed, but now I skip phones4u and go directly to the manafacturer and network as they sort problems out easier and quicker.

Summary: Not the best place in the world to get phones from.
