Poundland has to be one of the best pound shops around. We have one on our high street. When it first opened I wasn't really interested in going in, as most of the pound shops out there are full of a lot of rubbish. On the recommendation of a friend I decided to go in and have a look, and I was pleasantly surprised.
You can buy a number of things from garden supplies to sweets to dvd's and much more.

Some pound shops have there own brands of certain things that are not even worth the pound that they are asking for, but Poundland is different. You get brand name supplies like Pearl Drops Toothpaste.

I have managed to get some great bargains that have saved me a fortune out of this shop. I was in search of some pillar candles for my wedding, and didn't want to spend a fortune on them as we needed about 15 in total. After searching about lots of different shops the cheapest that I could find them was £3.99 each.

I was walking past the shop one day and noticed them in the window and went in for a closer look. They were exactly what I was after. And luckily they had enough to get them all in one go. The only problem was that I had to carry them all to the car, my arms were aching.

I now go into Poundland every time I am down the street. I always find that they are very well stocked and the staff are always really pleasant and helpful. Their stock is always changing, which is a good and a bad thing at the same time. It means that if you need something, you are better buying it there and then as it might not be there the next time that you come back. Its good that they change all the time too as you can always go in and find a bargain.

Poundland is great for getting things for work parties or nurseries/playgroups, and especially for the kids for school. Last year my work was decorating the 'pods' that we work in, and I was nominated to buy everything that we needed. I had shopped around and found that the money that we had wasn't really going to buy a lot of stuff. So I went into Poundland and managed to get 15 items (we had £15 in total). When I took the stuff into work everyone was really pleased at what I was able to get an our pod looked really good. So I was nominated again at Christmas to do the came thing as guess where the first place I went was!

I wasn't really sure what the quality of the products would be, but I was really pleased and would definitely recommend that you try here first before you buy from elsewhere. There are Poundland stores located all around the country so chances are that there is one located near you. Or if your not sure they have what you are after, you can search their products too from their website www.poundland.co.uk , but these cannot be ordered online.
